A Lifetime of Music Begins Here®
Music Together® in East Sussex - Buxted (near Uckfield), Lower Dicker (near East Hoathly)
Music Together® is an award-winning, research-based music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers — and the grownups who love them®. Rooted in the idea that making music is every child’s birthright, our classes focus on experiencing music, not just learning about it.
Each week, we sing, dance, play, and laugh together — because children learn best through joyful, hands-on music-making with their favorite people right beside them.

Teacher, Director, Master of Disaster, Wearer of All Hats, and Music Lover from way back!
Hi, I’m Erika!
I’m a singer-songwriter, recovering lawyer, full-time mum, and now a proud Music Together® teacher.
Music has always been a lifeline for me — a way to connect, to process, and to find joy in the chaos. When I discovered Music Together, it lit a spark I didn’t know I’d lost. It reminded me that music isn’t just for the stage — it’s for the living room floor, the car ride home, and the cuddle before nap time.
As a parent myself, I know how easy it is to get caught up in the to-do lists and forget how powerful it can be to simply play. That’s why I’m so thrilled to bring Music Together to my community here in East Sussex — to help other families reconnect with their own musical spark and find moments of joy, together.
Whether you’ve never sung a note or you’ve got a guitar in every room, you belong in our circle. Let’s make music together!

We teach the way children learn
Research in early childhood and music development tells us, that children learn differently than adults. They learn instinctively and constantly, and teach themselves through imitation and play, through being immersed in their environment, and through interaction with adults and older children. The family-like setting of Music Together classes creates an ideal learning environment.

Your role is essential
You are your child’s most important music teacher right now! Young children learn through play and experimentation and by watching and listening to the grownups they love. Setting an example as an enthusiastic participator in music activities is the best thing any parent or caregiver can do to help set a child on the road to a lifelong love of music. Parents don't need to have music skills—they just need a desire to play and have fun with their children! Our teachers are specially trained to create a safe atmosphere so you can happily join in, experiment, or even get silly—and feel closer to your child while doing so.
Music learning supports all learning®
Wiggling, singing, and laughing with your child is so much fun, it's easy to forget how much learning is taking place! Our research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Because these benefits build over time, children enjoy the fullest growth in each of these areas when they participate as consistently as possible up through kindergarten.
